Privacy by architecture
Your face never leaves your device.
eikoro is built as a local tool, not a web service. Face detection and background processing run inside your browser using WebAssembly. There is no upload endpoint, no account, and no photo library on our side.
- No photo upload. The file is read from your picker into the tab and stays there.
- No cookies, no third-party analytics or ad trackers. One anonymous page counter runs on our own server. There is no profile to sell.
- Payment only. Card details go to Creem, our merchant of record; your photo is never sent with them.
- Close the tab and the working copy is gone.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is opened in your browser tab and processed there — there is no upload endpoint. Face detection and background processing run locally on your device. The only things we ever receive are payment confirmation and a license key from our payment provider — your photo is never sent with them.
Will my photo be accepted?
eikoro matches the published size, head-height band, background, and print requirements for the document you choose. We can't guarantee acceptance: a person at the issuing authority makes the final call, and photos can be rejected for reasons a tool cannot judge — a slightly open mouth, a shadow from a window, or a photo that is simply too old. Check your authority's current rules before you apply.
What do I get for $4.99?
A print-ready JPG of your photo at 300 or 600 DPI (whatever your spec requires), cropped to the spec you chose, plus a 4×6 in print sheet and an A4 sheet with cut guides. No watermark, no subscription. The free version gives you the full editor and a watermarked preview download so you can check the result first.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — eikoro runs in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on modern phones, tablets, and desktops. You pick a photo from your camera roll, edit it, and download the result to your device. There is nothing to install.
What if my background isn't plain white?
Background whitening works best with a plain wall, even light, and no hard shadow. The editor replaces the background with the plain color your spec requires, but it cannot invent detail: if your hair blends into a busy or dark background, retake the photo if you can. The tool does not promise to repair a bad source photo.
Do I need an account or subscription?
No account, no email, and no subscription. Pay once for the print-ready export and download the files. Come back and run another photo whenever you need one — you only pay when you export.
